I recently read a couple of posts on Norway and people from DownloadSquad campaigning for users to stop using the old, unsecure and slow IE6… Too many still keep using it. I keep telling them everyday… yet they don’t listen. And when they get viruses, adware, spyware, they come to me… And I blame their IE6 for the most part of it and solves their problems… Some keep using IE6 even after having so many problems due to it…. I recommend that you too start using Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera 9 or Safari! They’re all free, safe and super fast!

Something’s not right with this force-upon 1% deduction of your salary for a fund that will give you part of your salary in case you lose your job. Now, I’m not saying that the it’s bad to keep getting a salary when you don’t have a job, but taking 1% each month! It’s like overtaxing the private sector.
The government doesn’t seem to have enough of discouraging people from working in the private sector More

I was eager to try Windows Vista. It was to be the new Windows that Microsoft has spent to much time developing and whom we saw many previews and release candidates. Needless to say that like many people I was quite frustrated in the beginning with UAC (User Account Control) that needlessly pops up everytime you do something that requires administrator priviledges – I turned that off. And that Windows Explorer never saving the view I specified in any folder – all too annoying… Games working SLOWER than Windows XP, huge memory requirements… But it had advantages – it was more stable, system recovery was efficient, Direct X 10 gaming, and with Service Pack 1, was FASTER! It did become my default Windows Installation (on my dual boot) until it crashed…. to never be repaired… and I didn’t want to do a fresh install… I went back to Windows XP with Service Pack 3…
Then came Windows 7 Beta 1. My hopes were up again. More

Many times has Meteo removed cyclone warnings just after the concerned cyclone passes the point after which, it would no longer be a threat to Mauritius… You will say it’s perfectly normal. But think about it…
What is the main reason for a cyclone warning class 2? That it’s not safe to send our kids to school! And that doesn’t change even if there still is strong winds and bad weather – even if Gaël is going away! Today should also have been a no school day!
Or better, put up another type of warning - Post-Cyclonic Weather Warning Level 1 and 2. For level 1, there would be work but no school. Level 2 would be no school and no work (or keep 1,2,3 similar to normal cylone warnings)… These would be to enforce that although the cyclone is going away, the weather is still serious and not safe to go dancing outside.
Would it require another dead person for this to happen…

I feel like taking it all out whenever I see someone still buying a N17 Nissan Sunny VIP. It’s ugly (to me), DISCONTINUED in Japan and SMALL INTERIOR for it’s exterior size. It is an improvement over the past Sunny in terms of space use, and it remains an economical engine to run and service (lower second price about Rs 100k less). But can’t you see that the Nissan March is BIGGER THAN the Sunny interior? More

Wander about almost any forum where people from US post their comments on Japanese cars, most of them will say that 4-cylinder cars are just too underpowered, or how a 2.0 litre engine in a car is kind of ‘lacking in power.’
Now, European and Japanese car makers all promote fuel efficient cars and make engines enough to power their vehicles according to their segment. You find 50-100hp power in the budget range, right up to 500hp+ super cars (Nissan GTR). That doesn’t mean that they look down upon smaller engines? What do Americans buy? I’m not saying that everyone in US likes big 6-cylinder and V8 engines. It’s the sale figures that are speaking. More
