Modded NFS Most Wanted Out by Fans!
I have been a long time Need for Speed fan since Need for Speed II in about 1998. I played all versions since then.. and loved the freedom in the city since NFS Underground. Recently there was a switchover from Arcade to Simulation with NFS Shift. It meant better different controls. You couldn’t just turn traction control off and behave like you did in the previous versions. But was absolutely gorgeous to look at, even at minimum settings…
But the thing I have been looking since many editions is a lot more cars in the game… I do have my favourite: Porsche Carrera GT, 911 GT2, Lotus Elise, BMW Z4M, Impreza WRX… But there was always too few compared to the console leader (in my mind), Grand Turismo. No, I don’t have a PlayStation… but I played the game on PC via Virtual Game Station many years ago… It was ahead of many games, you could buy used cars, tune each of them… you had challenges, different handling styles for different drivetrains…
Recently I found out that a lot of cars are available for NFS Most Wanted, made by fans! People have made Ferraris and several other cars that can be added to your default NFS Most Wanted installation – check out nfscars.net.
But today I found a strange thing on the net Need for Speed Most Wanted: Unique (2010) – this is a version of NFS Most Wanted modded and release by a fan, sounds Russian. I’m going to get it and try it!.

You tried the modded MW?
Yeah, first note is that the starting M3 GTR car vinyl is differerent and traffic cars are detailed good looking cars. Kind of runs fast? Of may be I got used to newer versions of NFS running slow. Saw an old yellow taxi, Honda CRX and a Supra I think as traffic!
Next I’m going to get some cars from
http://www.nfscars.net/home/index/mostwanted.aspx
So I replaced 16 cars from the game with cars I downloaded. Means now I have Nissan GTR, Ferrari 599, Koenigsegg CCX-R, new Civic, the classic Lamborghini Countach and a few more. Pretty easy to replace cars and get them working. Just follow the instructions and have Shopzspecial tool.
The only problem when you replace starting cars (like in my installation Punto is now a Sylvia S15, Cobalt is C4), you get hard opponents right from the start!
It’s as much fun as the original NFS Most Wanted… But better looking and now with all these modern cars… mouth watering… I’ve stopped with NFS Shift… too hard…
