Why is there not a Class 2 when there are strong gusts and rain persist?

Many times has Meteo removed cyclone warnings just after the concerned cyclone passes the point after which, it would no longer be a threat to Mauritius… You will say it’s perfectly normal. But think about it…

What is the main reason for a cyclone warning class 2? That it’s not safe to send our kids to school! And that doesn’t change even if there still is strong winds and bad weather – even if Gaël is going away! Today should also have been a no school day!

Or better, put up another type of warning - Post-Cyclonic Weather Warning Level 1 and 2. For level 1, there would be work but no school. Level 2 would be no school and no work (or keep 1,2,3 similar to normal cylone warnings)… These would be to enforce that although the cyclone is going away, the weather is still serious and not safe to go dancing outside.

Would it require another dead person for this to happen…
